Just for today, I will let go of anger.
Just for today, I will let go of worry.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbor and every
living being.

CAN ANYONE LEARN REIKI
- The ability to learn Reiki is not dependant on
intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to
mediate. It does not take years of practice. It is simply
passed on from teacher to student during the attunement
process. As soon as this happens, one has and can do
Reiki. Thus it is easily learned by anyone.
- Reiki is a pure form of healing and not dependent on
individual talent or acquired ability. Because of this,
the personality of the healer is less likely to cloud the
significance of the experience. The feeling of being
connected to the Universe's healing love and protection is
clearly apparent.

CODE of PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
THE PRACTITIONER
AGREES TO:
- Abide by a vow of confidentiality. Any information
that is discussed within the context of a Reiki session
is confidential between the client and the Practitioner.
- Provide a safe and comfortable area for client
sessions and work to provide an empowering and
supportive environment for clients.
- Always treat clients with the utmost respect and
honor.
- Provide a brief oral or written description of what
happens during a session and what to expect before a
client's initial session.
- Be respectful of all others' Reiki views and paths.
- Educate clients on the value of Reiki and explain that
sessions do not guarantee a cure, nor are they a
substitute for qualified medical or professional care.
Reiki is one part of an integrated healing or wellness
program.
- Suggest a consultation or referral to qualified
licensed professionals (i.e., medical doctor, social
worker, licensed therapist, etc.) when appropriate.
- Never diagnose or prescribe. Never suggest that the
client change prescribed treatment or interfere with the
treatment of a licensed care provider.
- Never ask clients to disrobe (unless in the context of
a licensed message therapy session). Be sensitive to the
boundary needs of individual clients. Do not touch the
genital area or breasts. Practice hands off healing of
these areas if treatment is needed.
- Be actively working on your own healing so as to
embody and fully express the essence of Reiki in
everything that you do.
THE TEACHER AGREES TO:
- Provide a comfortable area for classes and work to
provide an empowering and supportive environment for
students.
- Always treat your students with the utmost respect and
honor. It is an honor and a privilege to share Reiki
with them.
- Provide a clear written description of subjects to be
taught during each level of Reiki training prior to
class and list what the student will be able to do after
taking the class.
- Be willing to discuss the proportion or time spent on
each subject in class and the amount of practice time
available.
- Be respectful of all others' Reiki views and paths.
- Be working to create harmony and friendly co-operation
between Reiki Practitioners and Masters in the
community.
- Act as a beacon within Reiki and in your community by
doing the best job possible.
- Work to empower your students to heal themselves and
to encourage and assist them in the development of their
work with Reiki or their Reiki practices.
- Be sensitive to the boundary needs of individual
students.
- Be actively working on your own healing so as to
embody and fully express the essence of Reiki in
everything that you do.
